The press conference for the ITF Asia 12 & Under Team Competition – South Asia Regional Qualifying Event 2026 was successfully held on April 9, 2026, in Kathmandu. The briefing was led by President Manohar Das Mool of the Nepal Tennis Association, alongside General Secretary Niresh Bahadur Shrestha and Secretary Ajay Bista, who provided updates to the media regarding Nepal’s preparations to host the prestigious South Asian junior tennis tournament.

The tournament will bring together emerging junior tennis talent from across South Asia and is organized by the Nepal Tennis Association, will be held from April 13–17 at the Satdobato Tennis Complex. The competition will feature under-12 teams representing Nepal, India, Pakistan, Sri Lanka, Maldives, and Bhutan.
